Did you know that your local pharmacy can help you with a lot of minor ailments; and a lot of treatments are covered by the Pharmacies.
Nurse and Health Care Assistant Appointments
You can call to book appointments at any time to see our nursing team for help with:
- Dressings
- Removal of stitches
- Wound reviews
- Immunisations and vaccinations
For travel vaccinations we require a completed travel questionnaire 8 weeks before travel. - Cervical screening (smear test) if you have received an invite from the NHS
- ECGs if requested by a GP or hospital specialist
- Some chronic disease reviews

How to request GP appointments
To request an appointment:
- request an appointment online via econsult Monday to Friday. We will respond within the next few days during opening hours
- phone us Monday to Friday during opening hours. For routine appointments please call after 12pm.
- book an appointment using the GP online system via NHS App
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) to book a screening test or vaccination.
- evening or weekend appointments are available at the Andover GP Access Hub on request by calling the surgery.
- Our diary for routine GP appointments is open up to 2 weeks ahead. If the appointments are all full for the next 2 weeks you may need to call on another day.
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
Access the GP online appointment system
Manage your appointments via our online service: Due to the complexities of nurse clinics and the different lengths of time required for consultations, we are not able to offer nurse appointments online. Please do not book a routine 10 minute GP appointment for medical examindations such as those required for employment, but contact our receptionist who will make a suitable appointment.

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.
To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8am as possible.

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call.
Please discuss at time of booking and we will try our best to accommodate your request
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, or by video call
- if you need an interpreter
- if you have any other access or communication needs
- You can now register to receive information by text message on your phone regarding appointments and health care. If you wish to register for this messaging service, please contact the practice.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- using the GP online system – Patient Access
- phone us
- reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
- If you are late for an appointment you may be asked to re-book.
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
